Lenten Regulations

kLent begins on Ash Wednesday. Lent is a penitential season of prayer, self-denial and helping others. In this way, the whole church prepares for Easter with those who are baptized.

Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fast and abstinence. The law of fasting binds everyone from 18 to 60 years of age. The law of abstinence binds everyone older than 14 years.

Catholics are obliged to receive Holy Communion at least once per year between Ash Wednesday and Trinity Sunday.

This Easter, invite a family member or friend to Mass.
